Las Queridas was born in 2023 while I was still working as a nail technician. I had always felt the need to do something creative. Before nails, I even took a sewing course and used to hand-paint handbags that I loved making — but I kept that as a hobby.

One day, while working at the salon, I decided to buy a few rings (about $100 worth) just to make my nail photos look prettier. When I started placing the rings on my clients for their photos, they immediately fell in love and kept asking, “Where did you get these?” or “Can I buy one?”

At first, I would order rings only for them, but soon they started asking me to bring in more — necklaces, bracelets, earrings. Every little bit I made from those sales, I saved to reinvest in new pieces. Until one day, I realized that my jewelry sales were almost the same as what I earned doing nails. That’s when I decided to create a plan to exit the nail industry.

It was a scary leap — starting over from scratch without even a website yet — but it has turned into one of the most beautiful projects of my life.
